1. IISD enjoys the much coveted Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations. The IISD is the first NGO in East-India given this status. This provides us an active role in policy making.
 

2. We are a member of the Social Development Sub-Committee of the Confederation of Indian Industries (Social Development) C.I.I.
