Distribution of health related saplings to local farmers, free of cost. We expect to feast on the fruits from these plants in the coming year 5th June as a mark of sustainable feed back of our observance and endeavor to maintain a sustainable environment.

18th April 2010- Health Camp by Nandakumar Development Council (adhoc of IISD) with Rotary Club of Calcutta
Social activist Shatorupa has taken keen interest in ensuring the achievement of MDGs by NDC(An IISD -adhoc committee) and thus organized /patronized a Mass Free Health Check up camp for the local rural patients of Nandakumar.Rotary Club of Calcutta medical team conducted the Check up.
IISD has however ensured coverage of more than 5000 families in this Block with Medical insurance so that access to health care remains affordable.IISD had also distributed Cycle Vans sponsored by IIDS Geneva ,in this Block to 15 persons in 2008 for ensuring alleviation of both Poverty and difficulty in commuting by patients.

25th January 2010- Agricultural tools and study material distribution
Agricultural tools for farmers from Kolaghat,Tamluk,SahidMatangini and NandaKumar Blocks of East Midnapore,West Bengal,India.While Cycle Vans and Agricultural tools were sponsored by Swiss Donors arranged by IIIDS,Geneva and one Cycle Van with some Agricultural tools coming from general donations to our Institute of International Social Development ,20 school children from Nandakumar Block received special pencils contributed by IIDS,France and pens from French intern Alliot Jean Baptiste.

The Institute particitpation on Spiritual Values' Focus group Meet on 23rd Sept, 2009 in 777 UN PLaza, NewYork,USA.
The topic of the Meet was Spirituality and Good Governance.
Mr.Shomik Chaudhuri , IISD UN representative in NewYork and Co-chair of the Committee for Values and Spirituality spoke on Process of Self Empowerment through spirituality ,specially for leaders who are to Head Institutions and Nations for ensuring empathatic,compassionate good Governance.
Ms.Rajyashree Chaudhuri,Secretary General,IISD from India spoke on how Spiritually empowered people should Build a Ram Rajya ,a Nation with equitable distribution of wealth and ensure mitigation of crime ,corruption and chaos through terrorism.She elaborated as case studies the Institute's Poverty Alleviation programmes in India and invited participation in such programmes enhancing the Millennium Development Goals of the UN through Global Partnership.
